These ladies decided that they too would like to work for NASA one day...but they do not want to fly in the rockets! So many goals and so many dreams. I'm sure they will grow into them. Congratulations for winning TWO awards!

Lego League
The BLAST OFF BROWNIES were transported to the moon this season. Over the course of 12 meetings...Briella, Julia and Allie designed and built a Lego moon base to show how they would survive on the moon using energy, air, water and food. Their model showed how they got water from digging in the craters of the moon, made their own air from growing plants in their moon garden, produced food from their moon chicken coop, and collected energy from the sun in their solar panels. Their model had to two moving parts...a water digger and pull-bot to move the rockets resources. During their journey, these three ladies learned about 4 important women who worked for NASA by researching in books, watching movies and even visiting the Houston Space Center!

100 Books in Kindergarten
Ayden loves to read...and to accomplish sticker charts! He's been working on reading 100 books for the library's reading program since the beginning of December. After finishing, he got a shout-out from his media teacher and a coupon to choose a book from the book fair! He purchased Monster Jam with his coupon! Way to go, buddy. Next year: 100 MORE Books to Read in Kindergarten.

Big Boy Bike
It only took ONE run down the street...and this big boy is a bike-riding pro! Todd only had to jog a short distance before Ayden was off on his own. He was confident and determined to ride his two-wheeler. This summer is going to be spent riding and exploring parks, neighborhoods and making bike-riding memory adventures.

Warp Wall
Ayden has been talking about this day for a LOOOONNNNGGG time! He's been determined to get to the top of the warp wall at Ninja Warrior. He was super stoked when he actually made it to the top today! His little legs got a running start and jumped at the perfect place to grab ahold of the top of the wall. Ayden got to write his name on the wall at the end of class. Nice job, Ninja!

Easter Funday
The Easter Bunny hopped right on through our house this morning and left some goodies for two some-bunnies. Ayden was thrilled to find an Alaskan Airline airplane in his basket and Allie a new bike helmet. Both received a pair of binoculars, travel games and a chocolate bunny.
We dyed our eggs and had a an egg hunt in the backyard before heading to Nana's for Easter dinner. The weather was beautiful...spring must be arriving soon.

First Place Finale
What an amazing season these Cadet Rays have had. Allie has been dying for a first place win all season. After multiple second places, just tenths of points away...her wish came true. These gals have been working very hard and added more and more difficulty as the season progressed. They hit zero multiple times too! This cheer mom is super happy and proud.
Way to go coaches! You inspired this team to be their best and show their best on the competition floor. You made cheering so fun for Allie...not one complaint all season (except when she started basing for the first time)!
Easter Egg Hunt
A beautiful sunny day to jump start Easter! Our church had a lovely egg hunt for the families at our parish. The kids collected soooo many eggs and found lots of little treasures and goodies inside each and every one of them. They played games, made a couple crafts and even saw the Easter bunny for a quick minute. Now, we are ready for Easter!
