To the Ones I Love

Today was filled with warmth, sweetness, and love with my favorite three people.  I love days like these...even though they can be a tad bit stressful at times trying to get all the fine details accomplished.  Last night after the kids were in bed, I opened up my bag of tricks (and my laptop)...and whaaaa-laaaa!  Pink, red, and hearts everything.

This morning we all woke up to some surprises!  Presents to all my loves and some family quality time together.

A Valentine Barbie, Barbie clothes, heart flip flops, a My Little Pony, Valentine socks and a Valentine Amelia Bedilia book for my Allie girl.

Crocs, Playdough, The Night Before Valentine's Day book, and some Valentine popcorn, pretzels, and pouches for my silly Ayden.

Allie was so happy to FINALLY get the Cotton Candy My Little Pony I've been telling her I had stashed away.  Those sweet smiles and squeals made my day.

After Allie looked through all her gifts, she ran over to the counter and got the card she made at school for us.  How sweet is she?  Love you too, Allie.

Breakfast was heart shaped waffles and strawberries, pink yogurt and smoothies.  Ayden loved every bit of his breakfast...of course.

A Valentine birthday party filled up our afternoon.  Danica turned 4 and celebrated at High Velocity Sports.  The 5 bounce houses were a blast to jump around in.  Ayden loved jumping with his momma!  Happy Birthday, Danni!

Valentine's dinner...heart shaped peanut butter and jelly (special request per Allie)...and more heart shaped strawberries.  Allie has been the stingiest eater lately...but gobbled up MOST of her heart sandwich.

This morning was the Lowe's kids workshop, but with the crazy snow I just ran in and picked it up for them.  Allie and Todd had a little building session after dinner.  Valentine photo holder to hold lots of lovely photos!
The perfect ending to the day was a family snug-fest on the couch with Charlie Brown's Valentine with a little PINK HOT CHOCOLATE!  How festive and fun is that???  We all curled up on the couch together.  Allie and Ayden HATED the hot chocolate (apparently only brown hot chocolate with do), but Todd and I thought it was YUM!!!  Ayden liked his pink heart cake much better.

I love these three with all my heart and I hope they know how much the mean to me.  I hope my little have created some fun memories and traditions that they will look back on .  Memories that will fill their heart with warmth, joy and love.  I love you guys!

T'was the Day Before Valentine's...

The Hammerick's are all ready to show our love and gratitude to the ones near and dear to our hearts.  The kiddo's Valentine's are all made for their friends and teachers.  The house is all decorated to make the fun times ahead...just a little more memorable.  This year I made Allie and Ayden a cute Valentine mailbox with my new Cricut.  They came better than expected.  Next year I think I'll add some little treats in them here and there on the days leading up Valentine's Day.

Nana and Papa had a little Valentine love to share earlier this week.  Allie loved her glitter glue that she used to make all her cards for her teachers and cheer coach.  Ayden loved his FOOD...Teddy Grahams and pouches.

Allie's teachers  asked for her to bring in a box or bag to collect her Valentine's on the day of her party.  So, last Sunday her and I had a little crafting session on our kitchen floor while Ayden napped.  I brought some goodies home from my stash at school and we searched through all my scrap paper from various orders.  Allie's butterfly box came out LOVELY!  She did ALL the cutting, punching, beading, and most of the gluing.  I think she is taking after me on the craftiness.

Her teachers also asked if Todd and I would write her a Valentine card so they could read it aloud at her party.  This is what I came up with last night.  These photos are from our last photo shoot in September.  I picked ones that had one of each of us and Allie in them and included a little love letter on the inside.

This morning I took the morning off so I could be a mommy to my Allie girl at her Valentine party.  I got to sleep in an hour, but trying to shower and get ready for the day with these two up...what a challenge.  However, we managed...all dressed in our Valentine's clothes.  Recognize Ayden's shirt?  He wore that LAST YEAR!  It happen to fit him this year although the sleeves were a little short.

First, we stopped at Lynnie's to drop Ayden for the day and visit for a bit.  Everyone was thrilled to see Allie...especially her Valentine, Robby!!!  Allie was just a thrilled.

Ayden had some Valentine goodies during the day with all his friends.  Yum, yum!  Heart shaped little cakes...apparently, his favorite.

Next stop was Allie's school.  Allie enjoyed some doughnut holes and hot chocolate before passing our her Valentine's.  Allie was very excited about all the Valentine's (and treats) she collected.  Ms. Sue read her card aloud too.

Allie, Sanchita, and Abigail

After school, these little guys dug into their goodies.  Ayden gobbled up the cookies he got and the only thing Allie wanted was her super long lollipop from Sanchita.

Today was lots of fun, but I have a little something special planned out for my three loves tomorrow.

Ayden is 17 Months

Ayden learned some new words this month.  He can say book (boop), duck (dut), baby (bep), and bath (bop).  He also says "bu-buy, Dada" before he goes to bed.  Ayden can sign all done, water, book, more, and thank you.  Every morning when I drop Ayden off at daycare, he waves bye-bye to me.  Ayden would rather feed himself with a fork or spoon, than be fed by Todd or I.  His favorite foods are pasta, popcorn, ice cream, waffles, and peanut butter by the spoonful.  Ayden got his 7th tooth.  Some of Ayden's favorite things are singing, binkies, being chased, giving hugs, flushing the toilet, and playing in the gym when I exercise.  Ayden is learning to share his toys with his sister and friends.  He likes to play with his cars, brooms, and anything from the dishwasher.  Ayden likes to read Brown Bear, Brown Bear before bed.  He loves the duck!  Ayden took his first trip up north to Uncle Mark and Aunt Kat's cottage.  He loved riding around in the sled at Tip Up Town.

Super Bowl Snow Day

It's Super Bowl Sunday!  The Boston is me is rooting for the Patriots tonight!  Thanks, Harvath's for the shirts!  They got put to good use this weekend.

Even better...I have a snow day tomorrow!!!  Can't wait to wear my pajamas all day with my babes, drink hot cocoa with my Allie girl and maybe venture outside and try out that new sled the kiddos got for Christmas. Finally...a Super Bowl Saturday!
