3rd Annual North Pole Breakfast

We were ALL so excited this see Belle for the very first time this season and Jingle with his magic restored.  How lucky are we to have two elves that visit us this Christmas season?

They came with surprises too!!!  Breakfast from the North Pole...snowball doughnuts, waffles, Christmas Oreos, Christmas candy corn and hot chocolate too!!!  What a fabulous breakfast!  Belle and Jingle were hanging out in one of our Christmas trees.  They also put up the advent calendar and wrapped up our Christmas book again too.  Allie remember just what do with that!

As Ayden set his eye upon the table...he yelled, "COOKIES, COOKIES!"  and rushed to get his booster seat.  He dove right into the doughnuts...shoving at least three in. Allie was all about her present and oh so excited about her ELF JAMMIES and SLIPPERS!!  She HAD to put them on right then and there (and wore them all day long).

So glad you are back, Belle...and so thrilled we have a new addition to our family this season.  Jingle...welcome to the family!  We can't wait to see what you two have in store for us this Christmas.  Thanks for the lovely breakfast and another memory for the Hammerick's.

North Pole Delivery

Look what we found on our porch today!!!  SPECIAL DELIVERY for Ayden from the NORTH POLE!!!  What coul it be?!!

He was so excited...and his sister was somewhat jealous...

...until I reminded her of when she got the very same packages 2 years ago. She quickly remembered it was when Santa brought Belle, her little elf friend. Allie shouted, "Ayden! It's your ELF!"  Santa brought you an elf!!"

Santa did indeed bring Ayden someone very special...along with a note that said to give him a fitting name.

I read Ayden the story while he held his new friend.

After some thought...we came up with the perfect name!  JINGLE!  Although Todd really wanted him to be named TACO, lol. He was out voted.

Welcome to the Hammerick family, Jingle!  We look forward to creating many memories with you.

T'was the night before Thanksgiving...this little turkey helped me prepare our turkey for Thanksging dinner.

...and the very next morning a Thanksgiving surprise awaited. Gobble, gobble. Yeah!!

The guest list was very small...just Nana and Papa. Dinner was delicious and I didn't burn anything. Yeah!!

I really appreciate Nana for making thanksgiving dinner for us the past couple years with my two little ones. that they're a bit bigger (not much, but some) I thought I should start taking on the responsibility of thanksgiving dinner. I need to start somewhere!

This thanksgiving, I'm thankful for many things. I'm thankful for my health, my family, and my family's healthy. There's not a day that goes by that I don't appreciate all that we have and are blessed with. I'm thankful for our support system...Nana and Papa for babysitting and making our kids so happy, everyone at Lynnie's Place for caring for my kiddos over the years, and Papa Ray for all the dinners and fun he provides. I'm so very thankful for the school I teach at and the staff I work with. I love my job again (most days) and drive to work with a smile on my face. I'm thankful to have Allie in the 2YK class AT MY SCHOOL with an amazing teacher. She loves school and has awesome new friends. There's lots the Hammerick family is Thanksful for!  Happy Thanksgiving 2015!

Swimming Into Level 5

Allie FINALLY passed her swim test and advanced to level 5 today.  It's been a long time coming.  Allie has learned how to float, roll over, glide, backstroke, front stroke and swim the width of the pool.  She was a little apprehensive to test took her a few tries...but, she did it!!!  So proud of our girl!

10 Days and Counting...

10 days and counting until our Allie girl is half a decade old!  Allie will be 5 before we know it.  With all the upcoming craziness, we celebrated Allie's 5th Birthday today as a family.  Allie's choice for dinner...Benihana!  She loves the rice, soup and salad.  She even tried (and liked!) the chicken too!

Allie looked forward to the part of dinner when the waiters sang Happy Birthday to Japanese.

Back at home...she was even more excited to open PRESENTS!  Lots of My Little Pony gifts from Auntie Ellen and Uncle Joe (lip gloss, coloring books, nail stickers, tattoos).  More My Little Pony stuff from Nana and Papa including a hat and karaoke machine...and some Daisy Girl Scout goodies (a doll outfit to match her uniform and a couple GS books).  Papa Ray gave Allie twin Cabbage Patch dolls with matching outfits and jackets, a diaper bag and baby carries (all made by my mom).  My Little Ponies from Ayden too.  But, her favorite gift was from Todd and VINTAGE My Little Pony Baby Nursery House.  This girl has plenty to keep her busy...until her birthday party at least when she gets even more presents.
Allie is very appreciative for all the gifts she received.  Thank you Papa Ray, Nana, Papa, Auntie Ellen and Uncle Joe for spoiling Allie yet again.  She loves everything and is having a hard time deciding what to play with because she wants to play with everything all at the same time!  Happy early birthday, Allie!

Thanksgiving Day Parade Tour

Allie (and her family) went on her first Daisy field the Parade and Company.  We saw up close all the floats that will travel through the streets of Detroit in the Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Allie's favorite float was the Santa sleigh and reindeer.  Ayden loved Big Bird, of course.  I thought the Michigan float was pretty cool.  We learned a little about Chilly the penguin balloon that caught flight and flew away from the parade many years ago...and finally landed in Canada.

But, the highlight of the trip for Allie was the CLOWN NOSE!  She LOVED it!  Ayden hated it!
