New schools for both of these two. 6th grade for Allie at WBMS and 3rd grade for Ayden at Scotch. It’s going to be a great year! Year 21 for me…I’m an empty nester!! No more kids at the G!

Cheer Camp
Summer isn’t complete without a camping trip. Celebrated the end of summer with our cheer family at Camp Dearborn...cotton candy, bike rides, camp dances, beaches, poker run, picnic, campfires, dancing on the beach, and memories. Our first camper rental was a success. We’ll never tent again.

Best Summer EVER!
The summer of 2022 was the inaugural boating season for the Hammerick family! We had some amazing lake days (and sometimes nights) out on Cooley Lake. We learned how to navigate the lake, dock at the sandbar, pack up awesome snackel boxes, and play some fun lake games too. Our new lake family sure did make this summer a memorable one. We are looking forward to next summer when we can really LIVE on Cooley Lake!

Cookie Cruise
Cruised around Lake Saint Claire this evening and celebrated the top cookie sellers for the season. The girls enjoyed dancing, henna tattoos, creampuff sundaes, and strawberry daiquiris. We truly appreciate all who help make this experience a reality.

Treasured
Feeling TREASURED at VBS this week. I just love our church and the amazing VBS they put on every summer. There is seriously no other youth programming that can top this…this set, these crew leaders, the snacks, crafts, and games, the catchy songs!!
I had a blast leading the crafts for the younger campers for a 6th summer…and had the best junior volunteer this time too! This was Allie’s first VBS as a junior volunteer and she just thrived at leading and caring for the campers. She is going to make a great babysitter!! Ayden has been attending VBS since he was 2 and came with me to volunteer my very first year. I will forever cherish his little self singing and dancing with his crew, because this year it was not his thing unfortunately.
