We did things a little backwards this year…we had Christmas before Christmas Eve!! Santa got word that we were heading south for break. So he swung by our house early when he took his sleigh out for a test drive last night. We did all the traditions…sprinkled reindeer food outside, watched The Polar Express, gave our elves a hug goodbye (or a really long snuggle), filled up our Give Back Sacks, and left out milk and cookies.

Elves
Another year with these little guys. Tonight they are leaving and going back to the North Pole. Ayden is sad to say goodbye to Jingle and Brownie (his elf pet), but he’s looking forward to Santa coming…and vacation shortly after! Ayden gave Brownie so much love this year! Santa's sleigh is going to have no problem flying this year.

Greenfield Village
Super memorable and COLD Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village. Rode the model T’s, took a horse drawn carriage ride, listened to the “Night Before Christmas” around the campfire, and saw Santa. We were all on the “nice” list.

Hammerick Bake Day(s)
Our bake day was downsized just a tad this year...but we still made my mom’s famous Christmas Rock cookies like every year…thinking of my parents this weekend. The kids love decorating cookies so we made sugar cookies too, and my little helpers decorated the evening away. They came out so cute!!

Christmas Recital
So proud of our Ayden for having the courage to perform at the Christmas Recital. He was so worried about performing, but you wouldn't have know once he was up on stage. Ayden played Carol of the Bells with his teacher Taylor. We are so proud of the confidence he showed.

Band Concert
Tonight we enjoyed listening to Allie toot her horn in the Beginner's Band Winter Concert at WBMS. Some of our favorite songs were Jingle Bells and Twinkle, Twinkle. Allie did great!!

Breakfast with Santa
You better watch out!! Look who came to town!! What a magical EARLY morning having breakfast with Santa himself. The kids enjoyed face painting, Christmas balloon art, a delicious breakfast, and a goodie bag. When Santa arrived he sang his way in, singing Santa Claus is Coming to Town. There was even alpacas to visit with too. We all have a magical morning.
