VBS Rocky Railroad

Another amazing VBS at ROCKY RAILWAY!! I can’t explain how awesome our church is. This program is phenomenal! So well run, so much fun, and so meaningful. The kids love these songs and will sing them for the rest of the summer. The crafts, the snacks, the games, the Bible study, and the services they provided. This is Allie’s last year as a VBS camper…next year she ages out, but looks forward to being a volunteer. I just love meeting all the little campers each summer and volunteering as the craft leader.

Cedar Point

Cedar Point was on point today! This girl showed her bravery and rode some BIG rollercoasters for the first time! Some of my faves, Gemini, Blue Streak, Magnum….and even the Raptor. Another amazingly fun Girl Scout reward day for selling GS cookies! We are hot, sweaty, exhausted, and proud.

My American Girl

So many sweet memories today. Allie and her Gal Scout Gang shopped till they dropped…with the AG gift card they earned for selling 1,500 boxes of Girl Scout cookies. They oogled over every doll and accessory. Allie knew exactly which doll she was planning to buy. The Courtney doll from the 80s is sooo CUTE! Complete with her own Care Bear nightgown and Kaboodle.

The girls enjoyed a lunch with their doll.  They ate pizza, salad, and cake.  Their dolls got their hair done and they made them a fabulous tutu.  This experience has been on my bucket list for some time and I'm so happy that Allie was able to have these memories while she still loves her American Girl dolls.  I'm hoping her love for dolls continues for many, many years.

Allie Ingalls

Allie is OBSESSED with all things Laura Ingalls. It started about 3 summers ago when she watched the very first episode of Little House on the Prairie…and now every summer since she’s been binge watching every episode from the 9 seasons!! Today our GS troop earned a badge about pretending to be from a different time period. This was SOOO fun for these little pioneers!! They went to school in a one room schoolhouse (learning reading, writing, and spelling), worked on the farm, baked in the kitchen, made candles, and even played like children did in the 1800s.

Fun in Frankenmuth

Girl Scouts take over Frankenmuth! Today we celebrating all the top cookie sellers from this cookie season. The girls received their plaques and prizes...then ventured off around Frankenmuth. Pretzel making, gnome hunting, mini-golf, mirror maze, fidget shopping and swimming. Allie said she prefers a day in Frankenmuth over the cookie dinner, because she had a full day of fun!

Love is in the Hair

Allie and her Girl Scout sister, Mia, are going to make another child out there very happy! Allie donated 11” of her hair to Children with Hair Loss. This charity accepts hair donations to make free wigs for children who suffer from hair loss. She was nervous, brave, excited, and overall proud and happy about her choice to cut off her beautiful long hair. She has been growing it out for TWO YEARS!! She’ll do anything for a patch! A few of her Girl Scout sisters came along to offer their moral support…and are hopefully encouraged to donate their hair one day.
