St. Patty's Day

Lucky visited and left us some goodies...he dodged Allie's trap!  ...and we sipped a delicious Shamrock Shake as we always do on St. Patty's Day.

Cheer Derby

When in Louisville...you visit Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby!  These little ladies learned all about the Derby, it's famous horses and jockeys.  We had fun touring the racetrack and learning about it's history with our fancy MCC derby hats! The mom's sipped mint julips while the gals practiced their horse riding skills...riding on each other's backs!

Second to performing while at travel comps...and visiting the local attractions...is staying with one of your cheer besties!

Unfortunately Allie's teams didn't place as well as hoped...but they sure did put on a great performance on at least of the days for each of her teams.  Because Michigan sports are at such a disadvantage this year, we are just thankful for the time we are allowed to practice and perform.  This year's goal: don't get last!  At HIT is a win in my book!

Wisconsin Dells

I've always wanted to go to the Dells...but not in the middle of the winter!  There are so many things to do...IN THE SUMMER!  Allie's cheer competition brought us to the Dells this cold frosty weekend.  The girls looked great competing.  Although us parents were only allowed to watch our athlete's team, I'm just thankful we were able to watch at all!  Rubies looked amazing on the mat...even in those masks.

While there, the girls had time to bond on a trolley tour around town to see some local sights...and of course sign on the bus to each location.

Because we were in the WATERPARK CAPITAL OF THE US...we decided to stay and play an extra day at the Wilderness Resort with other cheer friends.  The girls, and Ayden too, had a blast on the slides and pools...and NO ONE GOT COVID!  Thankful for a little bit of normalcy and FUN this weekend.  Look!  No masks!!

Santa stopped here!   ...and he brought bikes and sleds and snowblocks and more!

Allie especially loved the fairy lights she received and couldn't WAIT to get them up in her room.  I have a feeling she's going to be spending much more time up there.  She also really liked the new book Care and Keeping of You...she's excited about all the new changes she's going to learn about as she grows up!

Ayden couldn't wait to get outside and play with his new snowblock...Santa brought SNOW too!

And of course these new wheels were a hit!!  We cleared the hallway and the kids rode laps around the kitchen all day long...or at least until we headed to Nana's (in our Christmas jammies) for a yummy dinner she prepared.  It's been a few years since we've spent Christmas at home and the kids just loved being able to absorb all their new gifts...the love, joy and excitement was surely felt this Christmas.  We are blessed with happiness and health.

A Covid Christmas Eve.

Our Christmas Eve. celebrations lasted all day long!  We started the morning with Papa Ray visiting to enjoy some hot cocoa and Christmas cookies.

Then Nana came over for some food and fun opening presents.  Ayden was thrilled with his ew Star Wars goodies...Baby Yoda doll and the Lego Kylo Ren Shuttle were his favorite things from Nana!  Allie was ecstatic about her new wireless earbuds!!

We sprinkled the reindeer food all over outside so they would be sure to make stop here with Santa tonight.  The long awaited moment of hugging and touching our elves finally arrived....Ayden asked ALL DAY if her could!  We were instructed to leave Brownie and Cocoa by the fireplace as well (apparently last year they had a really hard time saying goodbye).  The milk and cookies are all set...now we TRY and fall asleep.  Today was a lovely Covid Christmas Eve.
