A Watson Wedding

So incredibly happy for my big bro, Monte to find his true love.  Thankful to get to spend the day celebrating with Angi and Monte way up north.  Allie was THRILLED to finally be a flower girl...she never thought this day would come.

The wedding was quaint, intimate, and beautiful.  I loved everything about it...the barn, the up north breezes (and occasional itty-bitty rain shower), and the time I got to chat and be my brother.  I do miss him being so far away.  Welcome to the family, Angi!

Last Day of Hybrid School

We made it through this crazy, but memorable year!! While some would say this school year was suboptimal, I would say it gave my family opportunities we would not have had otherwise. I’m so thankful for the extra time I got to spend with my family while working remotely the few months we did. Although my kids only saw their teacher for a half day while at in-person school, I’m thankful for the intimate setting, small class size, and one-on-one time they had with their teacher. Academically they did not skip a beat. Allie powered through some hard math concepts while Ayden flourished in reading. I’m thankful that my first year teaching in the iCenter was a success! Looking forward to my kids going to school with all their friends next year…hopefully mask-free!

Girl Scout Junior

Allie celebrated the completion of her first year as a Girl Scout JUNIOR. Although there was a pandemic this year…our troop managed to do some pretty amazing things.
Allie sold her most ever GS cookies this year crushing her goal at 1,600 BOXES! Thank you to everyone for supporting her by buying, eating, or just donating! Our troop sold over 15,000 boxes!

She gave back to the community this year by planting a butterfly way station, sharing peace with her neighborhood, adopting a child at Christmas, writing thank you letters to community helpers, and purchasing kitchen items for the WB police department.
Allie ice skated, baked pizzas, toured the capitol and Ford Rouge Plant, and earned badges on zoom. She went to GS camp, horse camp, the Toledo Zoo, and Mackinac Island. Allie snow shoed and steered a horse for the very first time. I’m so thankful for the leading and learning opportunities Girl Scouts has given her and for the lifelong friendships and memories she will take with her for many years to come.

Horse Camp

Girl Scout “camp” Dude Ranch style. We slept in a teepee, learned how to steer a horse, cooked over the fire, and enjoyed waterslides and swimming pools.
