Their water park lego model showed their water source, water storage, water pump, and sensor to solve their problem of wasting too much water at the water sprinkler. This year they had TWO moving parts, lots of waterpark fun and loads of creativity!

Lego League
These darling Daisies did amazing this Lego League season. Allie, Briella and Hailey made up the DIVING DAISIES team. They learned all about the journey of water. Their challenge was to choose a way they use water and improve a part of the water journey.

Diving Daisies
The Diving Daisies have been meeting and working very hard on their Lego League Challenge this year. Allie's team was made up of 3 Daisy Girl Scouts. This year the girls learned all about the journey of water...where water comes from and how it gets to us. These Daisies learned about how water is cleaned and treated. They built a water pump and decided their water use would be a WATERPARK! The water traveled from the lake, through the water treatment center, to the pump and into the water tower until it was ready to use in the water park. They made their waterpark better by adding motion sensors to the water features in order to save water. This year they had TWO moving parts...the sprinkler and the water pump.
Great job, Diving Daisies!!!

What a DEER...Allie research, observed and learned all bout deer for the Science Fair this year. She learned about how to make her school safe for deer, but specifically she spoke about how deer act and behave. She did amazing speaking aloud in front of her audience.

Maple Surgaring
While Todd's away...we will play...up at Tollgate Farms for their Maple Sugaring event. We rode on a tractor out to the forest to see all the trees tapped and the sap flowing out. We went in the sugar shack to see how the maple sugar was made and even got to try some on yummy popcorn. The kiddos tapped a tree by drilling a hole and we even saw some friends along the way.

First Grade Concert
Adorable, sweet and too cute. First grade winter concert was a hit. Allie sang and danced to HOT, HOT, HOT, HOT CHOCOLATE from the Polar Express. One of our favorite winter movies and songs...and her favorite morning beverage, or course. It was the perfect song for our Allie Girl.

Tip Up Town
Michigan winters are not complete without ice, snow and Tip Up Town. All four kiddos loved the fair at Houghton Lake and the parents spent lots of relaxing time catching up. Too bad we had to leave Saturday night in order to make a 9:00 am cheer practice on Sunday...sacrifices.
Love you, Aders!

Another NEW Year!
2017 wasn't too bad...looking forward to a happy new year in 2018. My wish for myself is to JUST SAY NO! Todd comments all the time about how I do too much.
My goal for myself is to soak up more quality time with the four of us and with my close friends. It might not look like I'm slowing down any...but, by the end of the year there will be plenty I said NO to.
Allie's new years resolution is to get better at playing the ukulele and to not complain when it's time to practice...Todd and I will be very thankful for that.
Ayden want's to begin to learn how to read this year. It's going to be a very educational summer getting ready for 2YK!
Todd is hoping to be a little more patient...
